Take Your Daughters (And Sons) To Vote Today

This election day, why not take your daughter to the polls with you? Children not only model their behaviors after their parents, we also know that children model their own dreams on what we show them to be possible.

The U.S. currently ranks an astounding 71st in the world in women’s political representation. Women leaders make up just 17% of the Senate, 24% of state legislatures, and 17% of big city mayors. With so few women to emulate, young girls are going to have a hard time believing that they can make a difference in politics when they grow up.

There are numerous organizations that take women’s votes and maximize political activism: MomsRising, The White House Project, and yes, Working Mother Media has changed the way corporate America does business with paid maternity leave and more….
